Esteem Project

It is an established fact that there is a strong correlation between low self-esteem and offending.  Therefore this Project is designed to increase residents’ self-esteem and confidence through outdoor pursuits.  The current programme includes rock climbing, pot-holing, canoeing and four days of training leading to a two-day expedition.  It runs weekly.

During the course, residents will obtain a number of cerfiticates in: -

a.  Basic Skills

b.  Compass skills

c.  Camping skills

d.  Leadership skills

e.  Team building skills

f.   Skills in rock-climbing, orienteering, caving etc.
